Ten youtube shoutouts

Today I’m going to give you ten YouTube channels you need to be watching. I have a lot of YouTube channels I subscribe to. I use them combined Netflix and appletv to replace cable. For this list I tried to pick the a diverse range of topics. I tried to make sure that content was being consistently produced and of good quality. There are two exceptions to the consistency rule and the content is so great it outweighs the consistency issue.

This is not so much a top ten in that there is no first nor last place. I love them all equally and have put the list in alphabetical order.

Analytical Survival

This channel has an amazing amount of prepper info and DIY projects. I really love the detail of the projects he does. I have got a ton of ideas from his channel. The only downside is that it is basically abandoned. This channel completely broke the consistency clause to be on the list but the content is too great to be excluded.

Range Time with Cory and Erika

This channel I recently found and am really digging it. It’s all firearms with a lot of tips. The video on recoil control and Cory’s AR platform grip are my favorite. Plus any video is a hot girl who can shoot better than me is awesome.

Eat the Weeds

Eat the Weeds is a channel all about finding and identifying wild edibles. It also has some consistency issues but I believe that is mostly due to seasonality. Even with that issue he has over 100 videos to keep you busy for a while.

Green Power Science

This is a fun channel with a lot of alternative power projects. Dan has a whole series on making your own solar panels from cells for cheaper than buying them. I also dig his solar death ray videos for a good chuckle.

Hicock45

This channel I recently found and am enjoying it. It’s a shooting  channel and had lots of great tips. I enjoy Hicock45’s teaching style.

HossUSMC

I found this channel looking up carry videos and enjoyed it so much I stuck around. HossUSMC has a good mix of prepping and firearms. I enjoy his view on things and he has a good sense of humor.

The Patriot Nurse

If this list was numbered this would be number one. Having some degree of medical knowledge is simply essential. You have no excuse for not having at least an understanding of first aid. I cannot stress the importance of medical training enough. If you are not subscribed to Patriot Nurse stop reading right now and go! I first became aware of PN through the survivalpodcast and quickly sub’ed to her channel. After several email exchanges I had her come teach a PAW medical class to members of ZS Chapter 24. PN has more knowledge than I can ever hope to learn and she shares it happily. She has an energetic teaching style and really goes into detail. I like how she tends to buck traditional medical in many cases for natural and nutritional remedy. If she ever has a class your able to attend Do it!

Really Big Monkey1

This channel is hilarious. There is some great survival knowledge. David is a master of shelter building. He also has a bunch of videos of him making gear such as machetes and a shoveax…Good stuff for sure.

Skills and Gear

This is the YouTube channel of my buddies at Skillsandgear.com. They only have a few videos up but they are great videos and I’m sure they have some amazing things planned.

TNGun

This is the YouTube channel of my new friend Dave. He has some amazing DIY videos and some great ones on firearms. Check him out for some cool stuff. I love his video on Poor man’s Kydex.

It was hard for me to whittle this list down. I tried to pick some of the not as well  known channels and ones that had great content. I realize that this will end up being part one of a series of must sub to channels. If you have a favorite one not listed let me know in the comments.
