Death wish coffee labels itself the worlds strongest coffee. A bold statement. Their logo is a skull and crossbones. The pictures on the website are tattooed bearded men. In short my kind of people. I was very intrigued by their claim of the world’s strongest coffee. I love a good strong black coffee. I do not fear the bastard flavor of bitter.
I can’t stand a weak coffee. If it does not put hair on your chest I’m not interested. I could not let a statement like Worlds strongest coffee go unchallenged. I knew I had to test out some of their brew. The great folks at Death Wish Coffee sent over a bag and I got to reviewing. In the name of science I drank many many cups. You are welcome dear reader. So how did it stack up to the claims?
This week on the Survivalpunk podcast we tackle a very important issue. An issue that has become a growing epidemic. The is Autoimmune Diseases. I remember a time when I had never heard of one. When I didn’t know a single person that had one. Now the list of friends with failing health is getting longer and longer. I have tried to help where I can. Sadly most are not willing to do what is necessary.
In our society people want an easy fix. They do not what to stop eating their fast food. They want a pill to fix their problems. Taking charge of your own health is too much for many. There are those that do. They are sick of being sick. They take responsibility for their health. They change diets. Eat fermented foods. Drink things like water keifer. Improve sleep. They tinker and explore. In many cases with hard work they cure incurable diseases.

Today I want to introduce Mai Thai Coffee as our new sponsor.I knew that we needed a coffee Sponsor. We all drink the magical elixir. It helps us get through the day. I didn’t just want to take anyone though. I wanted to bring on a coffee sponsor I could fully endorse. I wanted to bring you guys the best tasting coffee. I wanted to bring you a great company. With Mai Thai Coffee I found that company. Let’s have a look at why I choose them.
Last week I had to go to a meeting for work and while I was leaving I noticed an Academy Sports across the street. I walked around looking at prices and anything new and interesting to review. I found two products that I’m going to be reviewing. Today I have the Nature’s 100-Percent Colombian Coffee Kettle up for review. I found a great hiking trail close to me (Beaman Park if you’re in the TN area) and had a chance to test this product out, as well as the my new Pocket rocket and Power Pot. All in all I had a wonderful hike and had fun playing with some gear. Like any good day, lets get this one started with some coffee.
Coffee, the glue that keeps modern society functional. Without our morning life blood dragging yourself into work becomes nearly impossible. What happens to the magical elixir when the power is out and the coffee pots won’t turn on? How do you make coffee without electricity? I’ve been thinking about how to make an off grid coffee maker for a few weeks now. Most the time I walk around in a semi-daze with projects going through my head. For this project, I had a list of things I needed my off grid coffee maker to accomplish. I wanted it to be simple to make, easy to operate, not be made of plastic, take any heating method available and not just produce any cup of coffee but the BEST cup. While I still have a few kinks to work out my trial run produced an amazing cup. Now let’s get to brewing!
