Back in September when I was running the big contest one of my winners was Casey Bradshaw of Bradshaw Blades. He wrote me and told me about his knives and asked If I wanted to give one away/ test it. My answer is always Yes to playing with gear and giving it away. I have been busy beating on his knife and am finally ready to give my thoughts on the quality and give it away.
I miss crunchy foods. Tacos, egg rolls, and other crunchy foods are my weakness. Since going paleo crunchy foods have been lacking. Sure there is bacon and pork rinds. This past week I’ve been kicking around a recipe for paleo egg rolls. When I went to research this I only found one recipe. It was a deconstructed one, consequently that means no crunch. Black Friday is over and I am finally getting some much needed rest. I also am finally getting up a review for a book I was sent back in September. Author R.P. Ruggiero contacted me during the middle of my National Preparedness Month contest and asked if I wanted to review his new book Brushfire Plague. From reading the snippets about the book I knew it was something I wanted to read. However I read slow and slammed with the contest. Once I got to about the midpoint though I couldn’t put the book down. So let’s get down to this long overdue review of the societal collapse novel Brushfire Plague.
This week is going to be crazy for me. I work retail and will be slammed with Black Friday madness. Up today I have an interview/ chat with my friends from Crooked Tree Farm. Justin contacted me after he heard me on TSP . Justin, his wife Cheryl and their five children moved to a farm to become Punk Rock Homesteaders.
