Today I’m going to pick my top picks for Christmas gifts. This will not be the average survival holiday list. The Scope of Survivalpunk is too big to be contained in a single subject. So for the list follow the great advise of the legendary Bruce Lee:

What is Survivalpunk and who the hell is this James guy? I realized last night I hit the ground running with the blog without ever explaining who I am and what I want to do here. So today’s post will not really show you how to make anything but will give you some insight into why I think the way I do. A few weeks ago
saw an odd little canister in a grocery store on the baking aisle. It was called Nevella Monk Fruit . I had never heard of a monk fruit before. So I hit up Wikipedia and and learned that is has been used as a sweetener and for medicinal purposes for centuries in China. The liquid monk fruit to go is zero calories and zero carbs which is great for my low carb paleo diet.Let me share my thoughts on this product.
One of the recipes in Four Hour Chef was Osso “Buko”. Which the version in the book is braised lamb shanks. The recipe is super simple and supposed to be amazingly delicious. I decided to give it a try and of course document it for all of you. If you want to recipe as it is in the book pick it up since I take a few liberties. Now lets get cooking!
Yesterday was one of my friends Birthday and also a I spent cleaning and organizing. Going through all my survival gear I realized I had a lot of items that had been upgraded several times over. To de-clutter some and to help my very un-prepared friend I decided to pack him a basic Bug Out Bag. Of course I documented the BOB building so you can see what all I put in there.
