The first Survival Myths post went over so well I thought it was time for a second in the series with more to follow I’m sure. This series might never end with there being so many survival myths out there and more coming out all the time. Today I’m going to dispel a few more and try to give you some good advice to follow instead of the bad information that’s out there. So lets delve into some popular myths out there about how to survive that are wrong and could get you possible killed following.
Otter Box: Your Phones Savior
Phones now are getting more and more complicated and more fragile. I remember my first cell phone and it would probably have withstood a nuclear attack. Thats ‘not the case with the new one. After one very scary experience I decided I needed to invest in some protection for my phone. The case I decided on was an Otter Box Defender series for my phone. I thought about and researched it pretty long. I’ll share with you the reasons I chose this one and why you need a case.
Trying New Things
Sometimes we can get stuck in a rut. Doing the same things over and over, turning to the comfortable old stand byes. It’s good to break the cycle and try new things you’ve not done before. It was food that made me think about this but trying new things extends to all facets of life. Breaking the comfortable mold of life and having new experiences is great.
Paleo Banana Nut Crunch
My favorite cereal is by far Banana Nut Crunch. I love the stuff. Back when I ate cereal, which was about ten years ago, I ate the stuff often. Since then I usually eat a box a year. I was reading about a paleo cereal one day, which is an oxymoron in itself, and thought it would be great to remake my favorite. I kicked the idea around my head for a while and looked over the official box and copied the allowable ingredients. I changed things a big and added one of my own.
