We’ve been gardening for a few years now, but we still don’t quite have it right. We discover new problems and new solutions every year. This past year I decided I wanted to grow peas, they are a favorite of mine, but I quickly discovered my 4 3′ rows were not enough. On top of that, the “trellis” we threw together was just crap. This year I put out a little money and made trellises out of PVC piping. I didn’t recycle anything, but it was cheap, quick and should last at least a few seasons. This is the kind of thing you could gather supplies for from yardsales, craigslist, or freecycle earlier in the season to make it even cheaper.

EDC Zipper Fix
Just a quick post today guys. I came across this tip a few weeks ago and it has already saved me. It’s a quick and easy way to fix a zipper that wont stay up. You only need two items that you can find anywhere. A paperclip and a key ring! Let me show you why you should add these two items to your every day carry.
Why we carry tender
Today I went to the woods to shoot video of my first time making and starting fire using the feather stick method. I thought I knew how to make one. I was wrong. What ensued was frustration ans failure. A feather stick is shaving curls into a stick so that they will catch a spark and start a fire without using tender brought in. I had seen them used and did not bother to truly learn the technique. I tend to be big on taking action instead of getting trapped in analysis paralysis. I did however learn how NOT to make one today.
Condition 1 Beginer Handgun Training
This past week I had a chance to attend a handgun training course offered by Condition 1 firearms academy. The two main instructors were Justin Coyle and Darryl McCreary. Also in attendance for training were Andrew Gervais of Liberty Tactical Supply, Frank Maschhoff Jr and Zach Hall all very experienced shooters and great instructors. It was an incredible experience. The class was aimed at the beginner shooter to get them comfortable handling a firearm and a preparation for a handgun safety course. It was taught with the premise that the students had no previous training.
Baking in the Bathroom – Baking Soda and Vinegar
I have a natural inclination towards all things homemade and “green” which has really blossomed since I’ve become an adult, and
even more recently, started a family. I enjoying trying new recipes and finding substitutes for staples around the house.
The easiest way to make cleaning products and toiletries more natural and much cheaper is to pull from your kitchen. Who
needs Comet when you have baking soda? Spa products are easy to make with a few simple staples. You will save money, save
space, and save the world! by spending a little time making these things at home.
