Cold Weather Gear At Home

This is a subject that has really hit home for me. The tiny house is no ice box but can get pretty cold. With the plummeting temps keeping warm inside is a real problem. Having the right cold weather gear is important. Running the heaters, a small electric one and a small kerosene, all the time is not possible. The Kerosene is being saved for especially cold nights. The electric one gets ran in short blocks of time. Usually in the morning. The sun warms up the house enough during the day time.

How do I make it through the nights and evening time? What cold weather Gear do I use to make life more survivable and comfortable? Let me share with you what I use.

Tiny House Update 1/5/2015

As you noticed I took off most of December for the holidays and to finish up the tiny house for the move. The flooring alone took almost an entire week. My main concern was to get the living room and loft completed to move in. I wanted to get the entire project done before moving in. Time and money became an issue though. There are a few projects left to be done. A few really important ones.

I’ll have to put them on the back burner though. The race to beat the cold weather is over. It has arrived. This week will see temps in the single digits. I saw that one day is supposed to get down to -1. That’s extremely cold here in the south. The freezing temps puts a real hamper on things. So let me fill you in on what Has been goin on and share some pictures.

Mine was both built on the cheap and very high quality. Choosing the best I could afford over time. Trading up when the chance presented itself.

Teach A Liberal To Shoot: Protect The 2nd Amendment

I thought about a quote yesterday. I was going to put it on the Survivalpunk Facebook page. I still might. I thought was profound enough to make a blog post on it though. What’s the best way to protect your 2nd amendment rights? Teach a liberal to shoot. Instill the joy of shooting.

Some of you might be yelling at the computer screen. Some think I have lost it. Think what I’m saying is crazy? Think it’s impossible? Are you saying you can’t make a liberal love shooting? You are wrong. I have seen countless examples. I have done my part in helping spread the art of shooting. I have come to love shooting. I’m no liberal by any means. Now anyway. Why is it the most important way to protect the second amendment? How can you teach a liberal to shoot? Let me help.
