Survival Punk Christmas Vacation

Just a quick announcement today.  I’ll be taking off a while for the holidays. Most likely until the first of the year.

No one visits blogs during the holidays anyway so I’ll take the time to spend with my loved ones as well.

I have special project I’m working on that will have video. But It’s a surprise so no hints right now.

During this time I will also be working behind the scenes to get some great content for you guys.

There will be a podcast still coming out this Wednesday. And it won’t be a Christmas special but a real episode.

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I’ve been watching a lot of youtube recently on homemade guns. One day I ended up on a video on accident of YouTuber Royal Nonesuch making a 50bmg

I kept watching his channel for two reasons. One, I keep expecting him to get hurt. He seriously takes no safety precautions.

Secondly, that kid has some serious skills. He has come up with some pretty ingenious weapons. And he is much more entertaining than some all the other DIY gun YouTubers.

It got me thinking about making my own homemade guns. And the legality of doing so. I had always assumed that zip guns were illegal to make and own.

I decided to brush up on the subject to see what is legal and what isn’t. Happily, I can tell you that it is 100% legal to build homemade guns.

The rules you have to follow are pretty lenient. Basically, if you can own it you can build it. We will start off with all the legal mumbo jumbo before getting to the good stuff.

Haven Prepper Fiction Meets Fantasy Novel

A while back I got in Haven by  J.D.G. Perldeiner from prepper Press. I was pretty excited to read Haven from the description.

Haven is set 198  years after a cataclysm that wipes out most of mankind. The people that are left live a very primitive life.

All around them is evidence of their ancestor’s great achievements. Cars that will never again run. Light bulbs that remain dark. And medicines that they have no idea how they work.

The Monks of Haven treasure knowledge above all. They fight to keep their library from falling into the wrong hands.

Tiber the Novice is sent on a quest with others from Haven to a nearby Duke. They are going to ask for help in an upcoming attack by the Grotons.
