2024 Rewind: 86 Episodes Later – The Year in Survival and Prepping | episode 315

This year was a wild ride, and coming back to podcasting felt like stepping into familiar territory – but with a lot more energy. After 86 episodes, I can confidently say that the Survival Punk Podcast is back in full swing. Reflecting on the year, it’s clear that 2024 was packed with events that shaped how preppers think, act, and stock up.

Returning to Podcasting

Restarting the podcast was one of the best decisions I made this year. It reminded me why I started in the first place – to share knowledge, build community, and dive deep into the prepping lifestyle. The feedback from listeners has been incredible, and the growth we’ve seen tells me that prepping is more relevant than ever.

The Biggest News Stories of 2024

This year brought no shortage of major news. The U.S. presidential election stirred up uncertainty and pushed many preppers to stay vigilant. Natural disasters, from hurricanes to wildfires, tested communities across the country. Global conflicts continued to shake supply chains, while inflation made stockpiling essentials even more important.

One of the less-covered stories that caught my attention was the rise in cyberattacks targeting infrastructure. It’s a reminder that prepping isn’t just about food and water – protecting digital assets is becoming part of the game.

Underrated News Preppers Should Know

Beyond the headlines, smaller stories flew under the radar. Drone surveillance increased, food shortages crept up, and certain state regulations threatened self-sufficiency. If you weren’t paying attention, you might have missed how these could affect your prepping plans.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Next year promises even more growth for the podcast and the community. I’m excited to dive deeper into urban survival, financial prepping, and more interviews with experts. Let’s make 2025 the most prepared year yet!
