Kitchen Table Bakers Aged Parmesan Crisps

Up today will be a review of the Kitchen Table Bakers Aged Parmesan Crisps . They are made entirely from cheese. They have only have pasteurized part skim milk, cheese cultures, salt and non animal rennet. They come packaged in 3oz containers. Do not contain any wheat, gluten or sugar. The package states it has about a six month shelf life and do not require refrigeration. Let me tell you what I think about them.

At work last night I was looking for something to eat for  lunch since I didn’t bring enough. These caught my eye. I read the package and was pretty impressed. If your lacto-paleo or just low carb these are perfect. I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did too.

These things were delicious. They really filled the desire for crunchiness otherwise absent in the paleo world. They have positive effect on satiety. I was only able to eat about half the package. Had they been grain based crackers I’m sure I would have devoured much more than 1.5 oz of them.  It seemed that I had finally found a crunchy salty healthy snack.

Theres a huge downside to these however. This 3oz package I bought cost $4.98! Five bucks for about 18 crisps. That’s just too expensive to be anything more than a rare treat. I even searched the internet to see if I could find these cheaper. I’m just too cheap to spend five bucks on these no matter how tasty they are.

As an alternative you can make them at home. I fried Parmesan in a skillet before and it does get crispy. Not as refined a product as these but tasty. Making them at home is also tons cheaper. I would worry about storing them though I would cook what I’m going to eat.

So if you got the cash to blow or just want to try them pick up some Parmesan crisps. The taste om them is great. If you more cheap and DIY like me just try making some at home. Either way crisped Parmesan is yummy. Have you tried these or the homemade kind? Lemme know what you think in the comments.

    1. I posted them in the article. They are only made of parmesan cheese and salt. I’m thinking about using muffin pans to try to bake them at home.
